I wasnt even looking at one and I saw one the other day and it looked quite good, and the dealer reckons he can get me a new one for under 20k drive away. 5 year 130k's warranty on the triton. Can't say I have heard much about the Triton, but I know it came last in a comparo between the Mazda and Hilux (mazda is the same as ranger)

In the 4 cyl class they are much of a muchness to drive, although for the same cash the Ranger is far better spec'd, more comfortable and I would choose the Ranger any day over the Triton or Hilux if you were in that price bracket. If looking at a Diesel you can't go past the Hilux, had an extended drive in a Triton the other day I would choose a Hilux over the Triton, though in that price braket Ranger.
