Peter from Pro Torque does some big Hp cars he is at Ormeau somewhere not sure where as I haven't been to his new shop his no. is 0438 876 649

He is good guy to deal with and is happy to print AFR's etc out with you after tuning your car.

Chiptorque is o.k. down the coast it you get the right tuner to tune your car.

Matty spry from pits is pretty good to from what I have heard but last time I spoke to him he was not keen to take up clients with ford flashers as hes hasn't had time to play with them yet and has't got the tuning software.

heaps of good tuners in brisbane as well, you just need to be aware that a good tune = lots of dyno time = $$$$$ be prepared to spend $1000 to get an really neat tune

also make sure they print out a copy of the afr's for you so you know your car is running a safe tune

inexperienced tuners will normally shy away from giving you a copy or even showing you the afr's

hope this helps

Hi Guys

I found ChipTorque and Hi Torque Performance very good. They are on the Gold Coast. I will only use these two Tuners. I travel from Brisbane.

Cheers

rob from 101 motorsport is a good tuner has tuned many hi horsepower cars

CNJ motorsport are good also but will always tune conservatively

APC is good is you can get Nick to tune your car but he is hard to get hold of. I was promised Nick to tune my GT forester when I had it and had someone else there do it and I was not happy with it so Nick retuned it and then it was o.k. but price was expensive.

I heard Godzilla is supposed to be pretty good but I think the good tuner they had has now moved back the Perth.

Mercury Motorsport is also pretty good at tuning Wrx's not sure about other cars though.

Elite seems to be o.k. from what I see as well but I haven't met anyone who has had there car tuned but I had a look at some of the afr's they had on the wall in there office and they seemed o.k.

Anyway, I am sure people will recommend or bag any of these tuners, I have heard of engines going bang on many of these tuners dyno's but at the end of the day the engines that usually go bang have been built by someone else and take to that shop to dyno. It is hard for a tune to know whether a engine is going to go bang or not doesn't matter how safe you are, you onlu have to have an engine builder forget to tighten a bolt or something for an engine to go bang, or wrong tolerences and engine oil. far to many variables to gaurantee never blowing up an engine or two escpecially if you tune 1000's of cars every year.

that's cause everyone was trying to help his stupid arse. bloody sneeky con artist ,mate. I,ve been to atleast 4 shops in brisbane. and found them all lacking in real ablity. never trying to use the cheaper option. always going with quality parts. and each shop has been of the mark. there either good at mechanical and crap tuning or good at tuning and crap at mechanical. and as for craig at fist. he is under failure for life human trash
