have been advised that if you change the oil do the pan/filter as well. from ford I was quoted about $300 but motospecs who are spares agents for zf box (1800605673) have been told trade $130 not sure of ret though. has to be better than ford ret!!!

Took the Phoon out for a spin today. Manual mode , still won't down change into second from third. Will now not bypass second into first. Now the left hand dash LCD is flashing

in third. Flick it over to full Auto and the D now flashes on and off.

Drives ok in auto mode but seems to hunt from 3rd to fourth gear. lights flashing.

going up through the gears no dramas,side ways in second @ 90ks.

Turn off the ignition and restart all all is good . Box warm etc. This is doing my head in.

Does anyone on here actually know something about these boxes.Thought not.Leading edge come on MOFOS :snack:

Looks like I am off to the Stooge Hunters Club House for further analysis.

Great car, just over the gremlins.Is a pan and filter replacement likely to do make any difference??For mine 3rd gear is rooted. Hope this is not a record

The car is a an absolute weapon, I just want to be able to down change at will, either that or make all the farking roads straight :roflmbo:

Change the oil and the pan/ filter assembly.

Buy 20 lts of Castrol Transmax to give the ZF trans a good flush whilst changing the oil.

When the filter becomes partially blocked it affects the gear change points

My box was noticeably nicer with new Transmax Z Fluid and pan/filter change :roflmbo:

the flashing on the dash sounds like its going into limp mode,mine does on the track after a few laps and gets hot so the blocked filter sounds like it's worth a shot.....let us know
