I had that problem too, the only problem is that someone from the service department ate it and took one of my cd's home, drove in with 6 disks on the way home noticed only 5 in the stacker.

The gauntlet isn't that heavy Ken. :D

It's not that I fear a heavy gauntlet, Al, it's just that I was off playing ...

Escaped Convict and the Warder's Wife.

A little game, in which I play the role of a long time confined horny convict and SWMBO plays the role of ... someone sleeping!

Farken thing :angry::angry::angry:

It jammed up on my wife last night and wont play or eject CD's. Its constantly whirring/clicking every 10 secs as it trys to eject a CD, makes nice background music while driving.

Go into the local dealer knowing they were going to be useless but they managed to exceed my expectations of their lameness. Car booked in for 2 hrs on Monday to download and get serial numbers (WTF, its not the Space Shuttle) then send away for a replacement unit which takes 3 or 4 days, then back again for it to be fitted. A month later the jammed CD's arrive back in the mail. What a bloody joke.

And l am trying to sell the b@stard too!

Not happy Geoff.

My stacker ate my CD's (and some of my friends' CD's) too. The dealer had to replace the entire ICC. This was well over a month ago and I'm still waiting to get my CD's back from Ford. For some reason they can't get the CD's out at the dealer. So, I hope you have backups of the CD's that it ate!

I got my CD's back 2 days after making this post. Turns out that I had managed to load 7 CD's in the stacker. I hope that this is not a recurring problem. Or if it is, I hope Ford make a design change to the replacement ICC's. This is one thing that I don't want to be paying for after the warranty runs out.

Hmm................

I've had 1 or 2 burnt CD's that have probably been destroyed simply by overuse, heat, continuos play.....etc. One time there was a CD that refused to play, heard some weird noises within the unit. It only came up as 5 CD's loaded but the CD did eject automatically after 15 seconds had past. Tried playing it again. Did not want a bar of it. Said "Stuff it".....replaced with a different CD, problem has not repeated itself, yet the CD is still perfectly playable, no scratches on the surface....."WEIRD"!!!

The wife came home on Wednesday and said

"the CD player in the car freaked out, probably all that 'Angry Music' you listen to" :spit:

Sure enough all Cd's are there but just keeps saying Eject and goes from Cd to CD trying to eject them.

Call local ford dudes "Hmmm, bring it in and we will check it look at serial numbers and order an exchange unit if reqd"

To which I reply "Brakes are shuddering again too, do you have a fix for that yet? "

Ford dude "No fix, just machine, soonest we can look at it, thursday next week."

Hmmmmm.

Anyway whilest driving about today, listening to the radio, the ICC started beeping and clunking and spat out a CD. Then worked fine, even gave me back all my CD's.....weird.

We had a directive through work not to play burnt discs in the BA's and the VY's as the system jamms up and has to be replaced. Ive seen it happen but am not convinced that this it the reason. Can anyone shed some light on this
