Boy's boy's

If ya reeeely reeeely serious about ya cars, you'll give credit where it's due. To compare these two cars is great as long as you don't try to conclude that one is better than the other.

They are built for way different purposes and from way different manufacturing principles. That they are both Exhaust Turbine Supercharged and Aftercooled (now that statement will cause some comment!!) is their only common denominator.

Personally, luv my Bird, my son's Rex, my mate's Munro (yep, that's right) and every other bit of high performance stuff around.

Go that petrol stuff.

Mack....

I'm the first to admit that I know 3/5's of f*ck all when it comes to cars, but I would have thought that given the older (more mature) demographic of the T owner, we wouldn't get involved in a slanging match between two totally different cars.

I can understand how the young lads in the WRX's would be hell-bent on defending their turf and how they would be threatened by the T. Can't we (the T owners) just be quietly confident? Safe in the knowledge that we have a sh*t-hot car that's making others worry?

It has been said before, they are two totaly different cars and can't be compared, The truth is that there is nothing that compares to an xr6T so can't we just be happy that we have cars that has no competition in its class.

Agree Ken. You can't make direct comparisons between a racehorse and a showjumper.

Horses for courses

I agree with ken, xrsickt, and davowa they are two different cars, one is a large family car able to carry five adults in comfort with big straight six motor and sh*t loads of torque theother is a small car desirned and devoloped for rally and racing with a highly strung flat four that requires loads of revs to make go. It may able to carry four adults but not in any comfort or style.

And a side note the big falcon looks better aswell.

Till Subaru bring out a WRX Brumby my ute has no competition. B)

Everyone seems to be airing their opinion, so I will to.

The XR6T is better, simple really.

And EZY10Z, if you think the Falcon feels floaty at 170 or 180 kph pulling into corners, you obviously don't have the driving skills to be safely driving at that speed. If you need to feel more secure at that speed, maybe you should be driving a Formula Ford. It would make any suby feel like a bucket of s#*t.

As far as the insurance premiums go, they are high for a reason, Suby drivers aren't getting "ripped off". They simply cost more to fix and have more accidents.

What doesn't add up is that most WRX drivers would rate themselves as being above average drivers. Having more grip does not make you a better driver.

There is nothing wrong with my driving skills, and the fact of the matter was I just giving my opinion on how the car felt. I always take the correct line and never come into a corner to fast especially when it's not on a track. It did feel floaty and that's my opinon and I'm entitled to it. I was pushing the XR6 very hard and I feel the suspension was to soft for my liking. I've owned , exa turbo, cordia turbo, VL Late model camira turbo, Walkinshaw and a WRX compared to all of those I felt the BA falcon didnt handle as good, but some of my cars had more aggressive suspension set up, but I"m not saying the BA isnt a good car. I felt more confident in an AU XR6.
