Well I'm new here and like most (all? :) ) new members that join I’ve got a problem that needs sorting.

I’ve recently destroyed the rubber drive coupler (or whatever the correct name is) and am after a stronger part, if available.

This is a pic of broken goodness.

Car is currently making 360rwkw, but has made anywhere from 300 – 470rwkw through various configurations.

Has also been used at various race tracks up to speeds of 280km/h-300km/h – so it gets plenty of load on and off the gas.

So anything else available or anyone know the part number for the replacement part? (Ford part muppets FTL)

(I should also point out that my car is a BA with a T56 fitted over the stock T5 if that makes any difference.)

Thanks guys.

Thanks mate, should be ok for the tailshaft.

I's all being re-balanced by my Ford bloke when we re-install a new coupling assy too.... just incase.

I have a similar problem, but mine is not that bad..

BA4821B LIST $218.05+

that's the part number and trade price of the coupling assembly.

I think all of the ba tailshafts are the same btw, auto or manual.

Thread revival!

Has anyone else broken one of these or checked theirs out to eliminate the slackness in the drivetrain?

My car has had the centre diff bush and side bushes replaced but has done 227,000kms on the stock Tailshaft coupler/dough nut bush.

I have replaced mine with a kelpro coupling from repco

. Lets say its made in Germany and will cost you around half the price from OE

But the auto / manual ones are different as are ba to bf

Did a new one just get fitted? Because that one is incorrectly fitted. The arrows are ment to point to the flang of the output shaft and the flange of the tail shaft.

Its hard to explain but the don't last long if they are not lined up right
