There is a 10 second manual BF Phoon with an APS Kit running a stock plenum. I think with anywhere around 350 RwKw, its just as much the driver as the Kws that gets the time. Also around town, over 300 = lots of 2nd and 3rd gear wheelspin.

So if im reading right an F6 bottom end should handle 400RWKW without to many dramas?

And if I want more power I should get an atomic bottom end or something?

Just get an atomic to start with then you wont have to pay to replace it twice.

Rick, for 10sec pass in BF phoon you need around 400rwkw (shoot 6f) with a stock 6-speed auto on a good track with MT's, and better than 1.75 sec 60'.

There's 5 of us that I know of that have run 10.8 to 11.1 with similar power level in similar spec cars. Mauz's 10.8 was on a very sticky resurfaced Calder (1.675 sec 60' !!!), and Mauz is a very accomplished driver.

In a manual you need a lot more power... more like an extra 100rwkw+

On slicks you'd do better, but very likely you'll smash the diff.

Trying to run 10's in a manual BA/BF Turbo is a huge call man, but good luck with it.

Being unchartered territory, expect to consider yourself a Pioneer though, which mean's lot's time, effort and $!

WOW so much good info in dis fred..

"You'll need a bigger Clutch!!!" or boat what ever that dude in the shark movie said. I have a MW opt 3 which I love matched to my MW 6 speed but if I ever step it up to 400rwkw and want to crack a 10 then the clutch is something you will need to upgrade. Im sure even Mal would agree.

Also what most people have said is correct, its not ALL about the power. Maybe take your rig in current form and hit the strip. See what times you can get and then decide on how far you need to go to get that 10. All due respect to Brian but his animal of a T is evidence that power isn't everything and practise makes perfect as with more time in his slower car he has acheived better ETAs.

Just my thoughts :)

The reason I was asking is because I have the F6 bottom end all ready and think I have the bolt ons to go close to 400RWKW but I am not sure if I want to push it to much.
