Siamese fighting fishing arent actually that aggressive. Its just they fight (well bite eat others fins and that's how they die) with each other. They go great with small tropical stuff. Bigger fish will nail them but they are 100% fine with stuff like the tetra's (when im fully stocked with fighters I'll have about 15 a week and they are all in bigger tanks). In fact they seem to go better in warmer and bigger tanks compared to those stupidly small fighter tanks.

Steve said it perfectly. Us people in the aquarium trade dont generally dont mind you bringing back a fish and swapping it if you arent a PITA about it. Ring your local fish shop, explain it to them and 90% of the time it wont be an issue

buy a bigger fish than him and put it in. A mate in high school days had a 4ft tank he would put in 2 siamese fighting fish in each week just the 2 of them no other fish and watch them fight to the death. he had one last 6 weeks with 6 dif opponents b4 he got beaten.

my fish have been doing this for years and if there killing other fish then that's a problem whilst hes just a chaser that's cool you will get that alot adding alot of diff breeds and sized fish.

I had one before that was soo bad I started actually giving him a timeout of water period which I wouldnt recommend but in my case it worked perfectly and I still have the fish to this day and he isnt starting nothing,Altrnatively you could put a little breeding tank up in the corner and when you see him doing it you could wack him in there for a half hour or something.

It was like punishment I spoze and he soon realised hey I better not do that incase I get another time out...

Have you actually got this sorted yet BTW?

cheers
