The FG FPV V8's look the best though as was the case in the BF FPV range :spit:

I haven't seen one yet but the style is slowly growing on me. What I dont see on the FG is the BA-BF style rear wing as it looks the goods and you know damm well it's a Phoon when you see it. ( Unless some wan*er has one on his XR6T )

The GT retains it's wing but it's a litter smaller I think and the GT looks better than the F6 in styling with this on hands down as everyone who see's it knows it's the GT ( Unless some wan*er has one on his XR8 )

FG F6 MK11 = Bring back the F6 rear wing

Just because Ford didn't improve the FG Falcon to your standards Doc ... please dont assume its not to everyone elses as well!!!

I note you still haven't managed to suggest another rwd 4 door sedan that is comparitive in terms of performance, style and PRICE of the FG FPV 310??

Interesting to read Motors Performance Car 08 round 1 where

-Warren Luff lapped the $141,000 C63 AMG Merc around Lakeside in 1.03.3 seconds.

-Then lapped the new $49,000 FG XR6 Turbo in 103.6 seconds!!!

The new FG's are such ugly slow sh*t cars :dontknow:

I cant believe Ford didn't consult you Doc to design them better :roflmbo:

Most likely it will satisfy many peoples standards, but obviously as other previous posts suggest, not everybodies.

Well one lap aroud a race track is hardly comparable to open road driving, and if you prefer a slapped togeather Broadmeadows FG Turbo over a C63 Merc well need I say anymore.

You don't have to justify your love affair with the FG F6 to me or anybody else. If you aren't going to buy one it's a completly moot point anyway, and if you are just enjoy it. And just so you finally get it. I DON'T THINK THE FGF6 is a slow sh*t car. I'm just disappointed they didn't do a better job

F6 381 I know what you mean, I see these cars every day at work, the more I see the more I want, especially the G6eT. awesome looking machine, gotta be one of the best looking sedans on the market for sure, especially with the optional 19's

I don't get why you are bagging the build quality of the FG, its the highest quality Falcon by miles and a huge improvement over the BF especially in the area of fit and finish. The very first FG prototype shell off the line was more dimensionally accurate than the current BF shells, that's how far they have improved it, and interior quality is heaps better.

You say the screen is too far away, but its basically the same distance away from the driver as the one in the BF, and its bigger and closer to the line of site of the driver. Seems like you need more excuses why you don't want to buy one.

Just because some may get a bit of driveline shunt doesn't mean that the build quality is bad, I think the driveline shunt is more of an inherent Tremec characteristic that Ford has no control over. Its designed to handle 810nm and despite what you might think its never going to be able to shift or be as smooth as a MX5 gearbox for example. Its primary goal is to handle a shedload of torque without breaking with shift smoothness a secondary consideration.

You obviously have not owned many $300K+ euro cars have you.My family have owned many high end Mercs,Bmw,s,Jags in the last 7 years and to say they are perfect in build qaulity is a joke.I would not call FG,s a slap together car at all and think they fair alot better then many euro and american cars too.

My 2 cents.

Venom,

Do you have the specs on the upgraded Piston & Rod assembly that the FG FPV F6 310 utilises?

Fords tech info states FG FPV F6 310 has its own specific stronger Piston's and Rods over the FG XR6 Turbo

Someone mentioned on these forums that the FG FPV F6 310 has Mahle Pistons stock ... is this true?

Cheers
