They did recently outsell all other commercials (and everything else period) for a good reason.But.... I don't possibly see how your getting value for money will the TRD. At that money you could get an F-250 that’s a few years old but complete with 12 metres of ground clearance and more torque then someone could poke a stick at.Being a tradie as most buyers would be, you’d be claiming the fuel costs back anyway...That’s my 2c.Cheers

I must say I was a little disappointed. It has a responsive engine but it didn’t feel quick. I felt that there was too much torque limiting in 1st and 2nd as they went to change which took away allot of the superchargers character.Overall its too overpriced for what it is I believe, in todays numbers 225Kw isnt much, not for 70k+. Posted 19/07/08 08:04 AM Share Posted 19/07/08 08:04 AM price wise, the base territory turbo is around $56k compared to $72k for the hilux, massive difference.lets compare apples with apples ffs. Your price comparision is totally . Plus the cars are totally different. You couldnt haul 750kgs of tools and equipment in the back of the TT and you would haul 5 people comfortably in the lux. Comparing the "base" territory to top spec hilux with a few added features is really fair dont you think :S. Plus the TRD is a speciality car from toyota so compare it to the FPV F6X.(although really is no comparision.Heres some rrp prices, obviously gets more when you added ORC and optional extras..F6x $77190SY $53,990Ghia $65,920TRD:4000s $59,9904000sl $64,990me personally, I dont understand either vehicle niche, if you want a big family SUV wagon, I'd get a prado. If I wanted a fast car I'd get a F6. Trying to get the best of both worlds in 1 car leads to a half arse car that doesnt do well in either

The territory is a fantastic family SUV wagon, and has exceptional performance. How that's half-arsed has got me stumped. By your logic, no vehicle can have more than one purpose, which is overwhelmingly ignorant. You can't be comfortable, as you're meant to go fast. You can't go fast as you're for carting around a family. You can't cart a family around, as you're all about comfort.
