hey guys ive purchased the 12psi actuator. but just wondering how hard it will be to put on? I asked the guy at the shop to do it and he said they only do turbo "packages"... I've got the idea that its simply change over actuator and re-tune etc etc....

could any1 shed some light please?

thanks

the easiest way is to take off the turbo and get the bolts tightened at the same time.

you can get your hands under the turbo to do an on car install but its really fiddly, you may as well tighten the turbo bolts when refitting the turbo and check the oil screen at the same time.

While the turbo is out you might aswell get the wastegate ported too...

Ohh and a larger flap...

so do you guys rekon I just go along with the turbo package they are offer but just give them my actuator instead? they said in the opackage they port it and do the flapper etc... wat sort of difference is that gonna make to the cars performance once the "turbo" package is done?

the larger flapper will make it easier for the actuator to hold boost, and it will flow more gas, making the engine more efficient. I'd give them the turbo and your actuator and say do the upgrade to this!
