Well, they arent shielded and would cop a heaps of heatsoak being so close to the block...

A well designed intake / airbox behind the headlight will always cop less heatsoak = better performance for longer

How do you know? You can't say what he thinks. No one can.

I'm only commenting on what was stated, and as far as I'm concerned there is no reason a 'dose pipe' will 'kill performance'.

Unless of course you can back up someone elses satements with factual evidence.

Otherwise it's just an opinion.

And my previous post stands.

I also have no idea what the hell your on about when you say 'typical fully sik uleh'.

1 point for being correct - no I can't read his mind. And that's probably why I said "I think..." not "he is...". Hotter intake temps mean less power. You know that one ;)

Spot on Stef... I should of clarified further but you got it right. Mindreader!

By dose pipe, I meant 90 degree bend straight off turbo with pod on the end... At least that was my interpretation of a 'dose pipe'.

What was your idea of a dose pipe?

Running no blow off valve also causes more lag at gear changes (in manuals off course). Don't know how significant as I didn't run in on the track with and without but it was big enough to be noticed on the street.

Air would rush back through the turbo and stall it up or significantly slow it down so it needs to spool up again when throttle is applied.
