Hey guys.

Sorry to make another thread about this bov bs, but I just wanted to ask..

I have completely removed the bov off the XR6T. and there is that little gold valve ( forgot what this is called ) letting air out. Is it ok to leave it unblocked or should it get blocked?

If so what did you use to block it?

This is what my car sounds like with no bov and a pipe I made for it.

Thanks for the help.

Yep it needs to be blocked off, go to an auto shop and grab a block off nipple and a small clamp (or a hose and bolt but it looks dodgy).

Not only is it sucking air but also loosting boost, so needs to be blocked.

HM, so you get the DOSE sound from just removing the BOV and plugging the vac line?

Or do you need a DOSE pipe?

What's a dose pipe?

All I've done is put a monza filter on my bov to get a cool pfftchhhhhhhhh sound.....

But that's not half bad. Quiet comical :icon_ford:

DOSE is the sound it makes with a dose pipe,

which is a 90 or 45 degree bent pipe coming straight off the turbo with a pod at the end.

FLUTTER is what you get when you just block off the bov
