It is 95.

I run mine on 98 anyway, not because it will give me any more power but because I will be getting it custom tuned soon and it is cleaner fuel.

Mine says it's e-10 ethanol compatible as well.

How many kms on it Rudiger?

Mine has just turned over 6,000 and I really noticed it loosen up at about 5,000.

I've found gears and timing pretty critical to get the best performance from my T in street traffic. I have the ZF like you. When I get it right and I'm in the right gear when the boost comes on, some drivers behind me must wonder where the rocket booster is hidden

It just clicked over 9. It was a Ford execs car so had just over 8 when I got it. So I don't know if its loose or not.

But I agree totally. Sometimes I hit the sweet spot an it just takes OFF. The accel from 100 is amazing if your in the right gear (even if your not)

And it is sedate enough that my 17yo Daughter drives it. Should have seen the look on her face the first time she planted the foot. WOW. I just wanted her to feel how much it would accelerate soshe can get used to it.

Poor bugger. I am spoiling her. Shell neve drive a car with so much grunt again lol. Everything from now on will seem gutless.

Anyway, back to your question, I dont know if its "loose" yet or not.

Mine was an ex-exec car as well. There are quite a few getting around as they upgrade to the FG.

I had 8250 on the clock when I got it, can't say it's feeling very tight. One thing I have noticed is the fuel consumption is a little high. 15.6L/100km, but then again I haven't been exactly babying it.

It is in to get a custom tune and injectors, so I think the power will be up and the fuel consumption down once the AFR is adjusted.

If it is tight, I can't wait till it loosens up,

(never thought I would ever say that. lol)

What are you doing over here Daz? Buying a turbo? I was packing 4495, you are packing 4490 that means I am 5 bigger than you. :stirthepot:ol

Have you heard the saying "Tight is alright but too loose is no use", probably not, as I just made it up. Anyway, its not the size of the turbo it's how much boost you can run. :gfight:

but I think we are going way off topic.

What about your warranty? Won't that void it?

No, not with custom tune it can be put back to factory at any time.

I haven't got the injectors yet so I might leave it like that for a while as see if any problems occur.

I certainly won't be waiting until the warranty is up before I start modding it, life is too short. The whole reason I brought the car is to mod it, if it breaks and is not covered I will wear the costs and not winge about it.

With my BA I had it modded to the max and never had any trouble with warranty. As long as the mods are not a contributing factor, it won't be a problem.

Fair enough. I was going to put a lower air intake on the air box, that is about as far as I want to go. It has enough go for the time being, especially driving the kids around. Its a ford part so I can't see an issue.

That's fair enough, they are a powerful stock car.

But if you put a Typhoon lower snorkel in, you may as well put a K&N panel filter in as well, flows a lot better than the Ford paper filter, it is washable too.
