Non Athletic Spotrs Centered Around Rednecks LOL yeha it seems like ford gives all the cool engines (except the 5.0 and the 4.6 mainely the 32valve 4.6 in the 03 cobra... my dream car) to every other country :funnydance::spoton:

:spoton: that's gold!

We also get those 32 valve heads here, but we strap em onto a 5.4L block and call it a BOSS motor, they now make around 420hp (we say 315kw) but the I6 turbo motor craps all over it! I really hope you do get one of these engines over there mustangman, it would be awesome to see it as a big middle finger to the "Good Ole Boys" :funnydance:

Don't be too down on Ford USA - AFAIK the Aussie 2V closed chamber Cleveland head was an Aussie only model designed in Oz for the 302 Cleveland (another Aussie only I think).

Occasionally, some of the weird things we do - like the 4lt turbo donk - are good!

BTW, I loved my fortnight in Lake City - bass fish'n, BBQ'n, boat rac'n, and plenty of drink'n.

IMO the purple sparkle flake bass boats with matching purple sparkle flake F150 tow car were the ultimate ride I saw there - and quite a few!

Fastest ever boat ride on the Suwannee River ~70mph - jeeze that was scary. It felt like I was doing 150!

One thing ill give the good ol USA, is they sure can get the 5.0ltr's/mustangs hammering fast down the strip! Every possible avenue of modification has been exhausted, they know those things absolutely inside out.

Vortech = tasty

I would like to see 400-500 HP I have no clue on how to convert that to KW.

Dunno if you've sorted this out already (and I assume you're talking flywheel rather than rearwheel power), but a basic conversion is to mulitply HP by 0.75 to get kW. In other words, 400-500HP would be about 300-375kW. This level of power is EASILY achievable with these engines, even on stock internals on BA motors (even I'm running high 300's - flywheel - on basic mods). Some of the pioneers on this site have achieved pretty much double the power you are talking about. Gotta love this engine! :cleanhouse:

  • Still have a turbo, it's just on a diesel.
