I cant seem to get the damn thing to work LOL...Can anyone shead any light on it? The box seems to flash the car okay with custom tuned and is able to identify the HAANF strategy but doesnt seem to be able to read data... Even the on board data logger on the LCD seems to drop communication after 2 seconds when trying to datalog. Ive updated the latest version of Livelink and updated the firmware which has at least allowed a CAN connection but no data :(Thanx

It has a date etched on the back 26.08.2007 which when I saw I was like WTF!I have tried everything with this thing to get ot working firmware, 3 different versions of LiveLink etc... you name it. It connects to the ECU and reads the HAANF strategy and updates the PIDs no problem its only when you start the loging and turn the car on it does nothing!Anyways I tried to deal with SCT a while back with some other issues and they just said call CAPA so im not even going to bother with them. I called CAPA this mornign and had a chat with one of the guys there. They said that the unit is not a big seller in Australia and they have only only SOLD a few of them and had problems with all of them. I then asked them if I was to send it back would they replace it with either a SF Strategy Flash Deviceorford flash 2But I cant tell the difference between tem.. All I want to do is store my tunes and be able to datalog as well...Jim

Sayig that though, I have had a couple of cars that it would not read any PID information from their processor codes, but I'm assuming yours is using A3HD and I can get that datalogging info from the ECU. I have had some cars that would would allow some logging but not all the PIDs were available to log.You can also retreive and clear some generic trouble codes from the ECU as well as read the tune strategy code. You can not read any live data on it's screen though, if that's what you were trying to do with the livewire. If it does all that you want, ask capa to swap it over for you and give you a partial credit
