But I will reply to the weather whiners...

Great!

Another desk jockey telling me that the weather isnt an issue!

When was the last time you spend 9-10 hours out in it in the middle of winter with a 25 knot sou westerly blowing straight off the Antarctic and a top temp of 11 deg for the day, that's without taking wind chill facotr into account. Never I would say!

You should try stepping outside every now and then and actually get a feel for the weather. :stupid:

Im goin in to bat for Perth.

Iv been to GC, Melb and Sydney...

Perth is the most laid bak city out of those iv visited. It can be a little boring at times, there isnt a whole lot to do for a young 20 something year old and the housing is getting pricey but if you like to relax, most beaches are good and the food is excellent. It does seem to be getting a bit busier on the road though.

Limited amount of places to go for a big night out though... on the other hand, you can give a bouncer a fair bit of stick before they decide to chin ya!

The birdz are outstanding! Per capita, Perth has to have the best lookin women.

I like melbourne, havent seen enough of it to make an honest judgement... Has a good nite culture though.

GC is G string city... Love it for that! Too many tourists though. From what I have heard, Brisbane is a comprimise of Perth and Sydney.

Sydney - Bit of a mini London... People are pretty rude, mates and I struggled to get into nightclubs coz we didnt have any women with us , but - you do have Coogee Beach hotel... Whats not to love. Boobs seem to be bigger in Sydney and the girls easier too.

Perth is great for me, I have british citizenship so when im bored of Perth, ill jump back on a plane to London - go troppo then head back to Perth when im worn out and need a rest hahaha.

Sydney is alot bigger then any of the other capitals travelling 50kms outside the CBD still sees you within the Metropolitan area. Ie the distance I travel to work would see me at my uncle's holiday house in Victor Harbour if I lived in Adelaide.

The key to sydney is to not go out in the CBD, sure occasionally its nice, but in general its cr*p, expensive and full of knobs alot of whom are actually tourists.

If your not in the CBD you don't deal with the rude, pushy people. Its also about knowing where to go, most interstaters will go to the well known hangouts in the city which will see you dealing with ppl who are there to be seen not enjoy the night.

One thing I can't stand about 90% of pubs in Syndey is why they have music cranking so loud you have to shout into someones ear to chat. If I wanted to do that I'd go to a club. Pubs are for a social laid back gathering with mates, I don't want dance/mixes playing. Live band yes, crappy DJ mixes no.
