Just wondering if the FPV intercooler is that much better than

the standard XR6T unit and does it bolt directly

in. If this is a viable upgrade, does anyone know what

they roughly sell for ? Also has anyone done this conversion and

how did they find the result?

Cheers

:stupid: If your thinking of upgrading to a fpv cooler, get a monza one, best bang for buck and you can pick them up for about 300-350 bucks new.

I installed a Typhoon cooler on my T on the weekend.

You have to drill 2 new holes for the bracket and you will need 2 more bolts

and nuts.

Typhoon cooler slightly bigger (only where the 2 bolts are on the right

hand side) I also used the Typhoon brackets. And have to move horns!!

I did get a little more power than the standed cooler, But I used the F6 cooler

because I got it for free and wanted to keep the standed look.

Do you think the monza ones are pretty good for how much they are, if I put one on and got a good tune would it give me much more power?

IMO the monza is ok for power under 300rwkw, put it this way, they are better than the factory coolers, but the factory ones are really crap!

They are a direct swap over. I used the same mounts and same number of bolts when I went from an XR to a F6 one..... BA - BF differ though, which may be where you got the differences.
