also guys dont discount turbo v8s of any kind heres a quote from a post on ls1 and a video.. fact is 6ltr v8s with 1 or 2 turbos turn big numbers on low boost figures...

"After fitting all the turbo gear back onto the l76 Mick at Aps Frankston finalised the tune for pump fuel ( BP 98 octane ).

We set the E-Boost @ 10psi and with moderate timing it produced 522 rwkw! We then ran it up set on 12psi with a minor boost spike to 14 psi, the stock l76 studded, cometic head gaskets and cam minus DoD gear, produced a whopping 603 rwkw!

We had high expectations for this engine but no where near this

Fixing the boost spike resulted in 12psi being forced and that gave us back to back 570rwkw with water injection.

I just want to see the different aspects on having a daily 500rwkw car.

it must almost be annoying to drive after a while? I have only just over half and sometimes cant be bothered with the boost in slow traffic hahaha

Well, I have sold the car now - it is still in my shed but it has all been paid for and old mate is picking it up tomorrow night.

The thing drives like a stocker off boost but you just cannot put your foot flat to the floor in any gear. It will spit sideways even in a 4th gear roll-on and I would not be game to lane change in 5th or 6th gear when it is getting 24 odd pounds of boost. It is far too tiring to drive all the time. Great fun when you go out every now and then though!

For the street, an auto and 300-350rwkw's would be ideal and plenty. Also, much quicker then any manual of similar power.
