Anyone know the appx weight of a 9" diff including third member , housing and axles/brakes?

A rough estimate will do........

Thanks for your help

Apparently the centre is 35 kgs, I would guess at around 60 with housing and brakes

The third member must weigh around 50kgs as its weight when lifted under a car feels about the same as a cast iron cased toploader and I know they weigh right on 50kg (slightly less than my hernia level but not by much!).

The axles, discs and calipers would be around half that weight per side. Don't know how much a housing would weigh though. Maybe talk to a diff shop.......

The 9" was originally intended to be a heavy vehicle style diff with it rugged construction, pinion tail bearing, high hypoid angle etc, so it was never going to be a lightweight. Hard to beat for rugged use and the fun that results.....
