mine has a crack in it, I am hoping I can wait the 8 weeks then do the Mal Wood diff cover and put in a high tensile centre bolt at the same time...I am already getting some funny sounds from the rear.

Can someone tell me why this one is better than the Ford one? As I must have missed the thread about this.

different material, harder compound basically abit former so it wont go as quick as the ford bush. does have a slight draw back as it may be abit noisier. if its like the ba aftermarket bush it wont have the cast around the bush so will be easier to replace if it goes down the track. I think???

Yep the BA one has no outer metal sleve, could theoretically be removed and replaced without dropping the rear cradle from the car. Yoyu would need to drill a hole in the spare wheel tub to remove the bolt fully, as the bolt is close to the boot / spare wheel lining. then fit a rubber grommet in the boot lining to prevent crud and water getting in.

But I seriously doubt the new polyurethane bush will wear out in the life of the car.

Highly recommend fitting a strengthened diff hat from Mal Woods at the same time, along with a high tensile bolt. as the harder bush will likely crack the standard weak diff hat in higher powered cars.

So far my standard diff bush seems to be holding up quite well.

has had various power levels through it from 300rwkw to 470rwkw.... T56 man

I guess luck's got to run out soon.... good to know there is a stronger replacement on the way for when mine finally lets go.
