there has been a few die but the main issue with them is they just wear out quicker when you boost them... the input shafts twist and the clutch packs wear out, and the flex plate has some issues aswell.

Brian (BCL) has over 400rwkw's with his stock ZF box and has taken it down the strip several times with no dramas!!!

Not just me; F6BF (Jim), Mauz, and FSIX (Mark) have done a lot more passes than me with more power.

Make sure you change the pan and oil if you have quite a few k's on the car. I have 33k km on mine, used as a daily driver.

Mauz upgraded his ZF.

Around 400rwkw would seem to be OK. I doubt the 500rwkw would last, and would most likely break the input shaft, as Tom did in WA when he tried big power.

44,000 klm's many many 1/4 mile passes, 360rwkw street, 385rwkw track, I changed my fluid to trans max z after slight delay from 1st to 2nd at the track that was over 12 months ago.

Auto is fine, just seems to change slow compared to a build one.

Dont abuse it on the street, save the abuse for the track, a factory zf auto is good enough for a 10sec pass as long its boosting of the line.

beware dont use trans max z if you want to keep your warranty

My BF XR6T sedan has a totally unmodified zf and handles 345rwkw. It will go into "safe mode" if over-reved or pushed to hard on a track day. I cannot drive in manual mode at Wakefield as it will continually shut down. In performance or auto it is usually ok. Eastern Creek is different as it suits the heavier cars. On the street no problems at all.
