If I take the terminals off im assuming the alarm will go off.I have 2 little silver ford keys which I assume are to use when changing the battery. This may be a stupid question, but where do they go? This made me think that the alarm (factory) doesn't have a back up feature...Been meaning to ask the service boys, but keep forgetting...If you have a key, use it before removing the battery... and remember to de-activate the alarm from the remote also... Will insure that the alarm immobilizer (if fitted also) wont cause any issues once the new battery is in...

There will be a small black cover that you peel back and the key will go in there.Turn it off and you can change your battery.
