BA sounds better optioned too and if your only chasing 300 odd rwkw the BA will be fine u will just need to change valve springs and toughen the 4 speed auto up a bit. With the sort of treatment cars get from the cops I rekon u would have issues with it after not too long and if they're issues with the ZF auto it aint gona be cheap to fix. The BF has a much stronger auto and bottom end then a BA, so 100,000km in a BF would probably be the same as 40,000km in a BA plus for 330rwkws, all you'll need is injectors, "hi-flowed cat", 'cooler and a tune.otherwise if it is an ex-chaser, then go with what DOSE said. Told him it was a lot of Highway km's...He replied he thought so, as the car looked near new condition still... Told him that it was going from Sydney to the border a few times and that family was there... He ended up with a serious bargain for about $32K...Ask the owner, and they will tell you, then take a look, check where its been serviced... check for little things like car park dints, and wear and tear on rims, bumpber etc... not going to tell u if its 100% true if it was/is highway driven but may help a little... Could have also been serviced in 2 or more different places, ie. Sydney and somewhere interstate... also a possible indicator or this..In the end, if the BF had less Km's I would say BF... but 100 thousand in 12 months is a tall ask... maybe look for another with less km's even if it is going to set u back little more...What are they asking for these two cars anyways? As I said, wait a month or two. People will adjust their prices if they are motivated to sell. Not into the low 20s , but I can certainly see them being available in the high 20s real soon for something with a reasonable amount of klms. In real terms a lower klm BFII in the high 20s will be a much better value buy too as less money needs to be spent when the mods begin.
