mate the growler is awesome, I had the f6 lower intake and got rid of it since it can't compete with the growler for flow. however I was able to pick the growler up for $100 so for $600 they are slightly overpriced. but they do work better than the f6 snorkel imho. I'm glad you enjoy it, and post up the results when finished.

Howsee

 if you spent that much I would have forked out a bit more for a Process West 4 inch intake/battery relocation kit!! or plazmaman setup .. esp if you plan on doing the tune and cooler as well.... well that's what I would have done :) Edited by qikshift

ive got a growler and think its a great intake.excellent induction sound and it gets air from behind the headlight where everyone says is the best flow area.its not possible for it to close up due to heat.that's the one that goes across the top of the radiator and is just a wider version of the factory one.it is overpriced though.mine was cheaper.its not worth $600.

I have had mine on for 6 months now and love it. improved fuel economy, induction sound is insane and can feel a bit moreresponsiveness. I cant speak highly enough

I think people here are being a bit harsh on the poor bloke. Sure the F6 snorkel is a brilliant BFYB, but it certainly is in no way better than the growler kit. IMO, the growler kit is still overpriced, but not any more expensive than a Bluepower or G&D airbox, and I'm sure it's not far behind those two boxes performance wise as it's a very similar design. I think the problem with these kind of intakes on our turbos are that there's restrictions elsewhere in the intake system that need are required to be rectified first, before you'll get the full gain. If you remove the cross over pipe then this type of airbox becomes redundant as you'll need an intake from the other side.

I think careful consideration is required when choosing mods, as to ensure your hard earned is best spent the first time, not spent doubling up on unecessary items. I think you need to have one aim, and 1 goal, and to acheive it you need to understand what you need to do to get you there first. I think this guy has done that, considering he's been in the turbo scene for a while with another brand. The product that he's got has fitted his needs and he can feel the gains. At the end of the day, as long as the end product has acheived that desired result, then all parties should be happy. This guy certainly is happy and that's all that realy matters.

Yes that's true.

These growlers and F6 intakes are just basic "entry level" mods, they give a little more air flow, and make alittle more power...but end of the day they are only ever as good as the piping that's connecting them to the motor, which is the main restriction

I had just the F6 under head light intake and blocked the other hole, and it made 284 rwkw. That was on 11psi, PW stage two cooler. They work fine, no need to spend big money.
