good thread. w00t. it wouldnt beat it. but remember its torque gets ya off the line. I give my car I brought now n run when had ss ute it beat me. and I had a tuned done but I didnt have the diff ratio done which is crap in the standard ratio. I love my T to hope fix up bit more.

also was abit wet n ute's dont have t/c

but for sound.... have to be v8

I had a LS1 and over time modded it upto a peak of 280rwkw.. At 280rwkw it felt light years ahead of when it had 230rwkw....

I reckon my T when it had 280rwkw was a good run with the LS1 when it was also 280rwkw... I think the stronger mid range of the T compensates for the weight... The Ls1 is pretty easy to get fired away off the blocks... I think a 300rwkw T once on boost its bye bye LS1...

The quarter mile registr on LS1 has some LS1's with around 250rwkw running low 12s so its gonna be close... Maybe a VT wih 250rwkw not a porky fat ass VE with 250rwkw..

I doubt this is true....

my boss has a LS1 clubbie, 287rwkw and I can keep up with it until about end of 3rd gear when he starts to pull away a little..

so a 300rwkwk XR6T vs 250rwkw LS1 would be a whomping, the T would kill it (if it gets traction)!!! :roflmbo:

if both cars were 250rwkw and the Expensive Daewoo was a VT then yeah it would be close

absolute rubbish!!!

I have a VS Supercharged and at the time l had 150rwkw, l had a street drag with a HSV LS1 260rwkw, and from take off we were even but from 100kmph he started to pull away and did with only 1 to 2 car lengths.

When l race my brother (XR2DY4) he has me from take off, midrage and top end just hammers me away, so who is posting up this crap that a LS1 with 260rwkw will keep up with an XR6T WITH 300rwkw....hahahahahhaa :spoton:

r u sure the guy in the ls1 was aware of the race?

respect you view but a s/c vs keeping up with a 260atw (sure that was not the fly?

ls1 which must have been modded(260 atw) is hard to take.................

I have driven one of those supercharged V6s... (im presuming the VS Supercharged is the calais V6 Supercharged...

They are a bolt of lightening off the mark, they are like a greyhound tking off... I reckon they would keep most cars honest to about 100km/h... That is a stock car... One with a few mods... boost etc would really move...

I reckon it would keep the Clubby very honest.... (to 100km/h)
