I'm currently sitting on 251kw at the wheels, with Phoon CAI + K&N, debunged exhaust and CAPA flash tune.

I don't want to change the stock cooler, as it's a massive pain in the arse and was wondering if my reckoning is on track. I'm planning to swap out the cat with something better flowing (TT's have a 3" remember) as well as swap out the injectors for something recommended by the masses here.

Is there anything else that'll help increase power, whist not touching the cooler setup? I know the intercooler is going to be my limiting factor, but I want to retain this factory setup and get the most out of the vehicle with the factory setup.

Any ideas, guesses, thoughts on the kind of result I could expect from the cat + injector + retune?

Anyone got any idea what kind of results I should expect at the track with the improvement. Ie. is 10kw at the wheels theoretically going to give a X time improvement? Is there a formula to use as a guide?

You can do all of that without touching the cooler but you're not doing your engine any favours by feeding it such high intake temps.

I wouldn't do anymore than you've outlined above without doing the cooler.

Thanks for the replies.

Both valid feedback - albeit feedback I didn't want to hear, as I was hoping I'd be able to stretch out 20-30 more kw at the wheels without touching the intercooler setup.

Oh well, I guess that's the end of the road for the TT's mods for now. I can't justify going too hard, as the Mrs will have the car in a few months and it's pointless/dangerous having her with a monster TT.

I reckon you could get more out of it with injectors and a CAT mate. The cooler won't be extremely repeatable but you will have a safety margin with the bigger injectors and freer flowing CAT

high intake temps mean the air is less dense- not as much fuel gets mixed with the air- not as much exhaust gas is expelled from the engine- less demand is placed on the exhaust system.

you have to get air into the engine before you worry about getting it out

Any clues on where in Sydney is a good place to go to get the sort of mods that Grudgee has done on a TT?

Also, is 250RWKW gonna cause problems with the AWD drivetrain over time?

Cheers,

If I wasn't getting married in December, I'd already have one! If I ditch the wedding I'll have over $30k to throw at the Terry.
