All Banks suck !!!

they make $500 billion net profit a year yet only have 2 tellers ever working at once...

if theres a public holiday your deposits/cheques/wages/transfers take an extra day to clear but their direct debits still happen on time and can sometimes overdraw you giving them a nice little reward in the form of a fee.

hell even using an ATM to access your own money will result in a fee most times.

the best is looking at your mortgage statement each month, seeing (in my case) that they take out $2350 for my mortgage yet about $2000 is pure interest profit for them...

Banks are c*nts end of story.

I am in the process of changing my everyday banking account from ANZ to NAB, after about 20 years with ANZ. Have had the $5 per month unlimited ANZ transactions, but recently they upped the fee for using a non-ANZ ATM to $2 per go, which made me start looking for something better. Then someone told me about NAB Gold Banking, which has free unlimited transactions, no matter whose ATM you use, both in Australia and overseas, plus a free Visa Debit Card. The account has a $12 per month fee, but they waive it as long as you deposit at least $5,000 per month into the account.

HSBC

Had an account with them years ago for the high interest rate on savings. Each time I went in to make a deposit I would be greeted with a nod as they could not speak a word of Engrish, however there cantonese was exceptional.

Commbank for the home loan and they suck but were the cheapest rate at the time, everything else with a credit union and not one complaint to make, which for me is outstanding.

Just like petrol prices were a country of ppl who are willing to put up with these frauds against us.

PCU (Police credit union) now lets not make assumptions.....

No fees for savings EVER

Good loan % rates and no fees

Hard to join if you dont know a member of the force

Initially I disagreed with you.

Who can join?

The members of Police Credit Union are a mixture of serving and retired Police Officers from the NSW Police Service and the Australian Federal Police - and their families.

Over the years, the membership has expanded to welcome all areas of law enforcement including the legal profession, Australian Protective Service, security services and other associated industries.

Call 131 PCU (131 728) if you have a question regarding joining PCU.

I left commenwealth ages ago, too much hassel

went to bendigo. my loan is with them

they are community based banks etc so I find better service

I have no fees, I use a denit visa which is free service.

my loan no worries easy to deal with got loan approved, the handed papers to the tellers said here see them they will set your payments up. 5 min later my auto payments setup how I want them done.

I am going back to them shortly to sort out some income protection and see how they go

I'm with BankWest (Loving known as Wank West / BestWank....)

beacause..... they give me money each fortnight.

But seroiusly (and I dont get commission I dont even work in a branch) they actually have some good accounts that dont cost. Look at the Hero account. The current thing is to "give every Australian a better deal" so lower rates on credit (more mastercard) and higher on investments(telenet savers).

I worked for Westpac before they suck, mum used NAB and they were no help even when she rocked in with a chq with lotsa 0's.

Im with St. George aswell, and would never want to goto another bank again.

Best customer service, never have to wait long on the phone and I can pretty much do ANYTHING from internet banking.

Just simple things like if you want to deposit money into your account with some banks you still have to fill out those 1900's paper slips, where I can just throw them my card and its all done in 2 seconds, international transfers can be accessed via internet banking, makes life much easier if you do lots of them.

Oh yea what iTec said, tellers (some are stunners ;P)

Banking for me, day to day stuff CBA. $5 a month for an transactional, credit card for transactions with next to no annual fee. No frills card ie small fee to get 55 day interest free period but no rewards crap.

Savings account with ING Direct, got it when I started working fulltime. Now actually working there as it paid more then my previous accounting job.

Car loan is through GE Capital Finance, and before you call me stupid I stooged them pretty well. They were happy to match my credit union rate & fix it for 5 years at 9.55%. Since then there has been 3-4 rate rises so a mortgage rate is getting pretty close to that.

Also have an old savings account with Gateway Credit union (formally CBA Staff Credit Union). Keeping it their until I need a mortgage as they have the best rates around.
