written off, the running gear is now in a ba typhoon. check the nizpro and tunehouse sections, there are many threads on the car.

I believe it was running 500rwkw then?

XR6T8U Reborn - Better Then Ever, The 600rwkw project continues

The whole electrical system has been checked out.

A Mal Wood diff housing went in last week, and new rear bushes, as it was nearing breaking again.

A 100ron tune is about to happen, then I'll get back to driving it again, plus dragging it.

Have yet to pay Mal Wood a visit, to get my old gearbox.

A new custom HKS turbo has been purchased, and has arrived from Japan, supporting a lot more boost & power.

I re-ordered 10" racinghart wheels to replace the ones that were smashed, but the factory in Japan has been unable to make them; I know not why!

... and so it goes on!

As per my sig; Nizpro Stage 2 + Tunehouse exhaust ; 100ron Shell fuel; haven't run at the track for over a month; I run the same tune and fuel at the track as I do on the street... I just change the tyres for wsid.

I need a sticky wsid surface like at Calder last week; just too much wheelspin, it's a waste of time unless track is prepped. I really need slicks or maybe brand new MT's. But slicks will probably break the diff ... so it's a tricky time atm.

I'm actually looking forward to driving the manual again, just for a change.

only got 98 up our way unfortunatley but im sure that shouldnt make that much diff. our track up here (im in tully but tracks in townsville) is pretty ordinary, was just asking so I know what to look foward to & what to strive for 1/4 time wise.

That video was probably one of the main factors for me wanting an XR6T in the first place too, it was a very nice car mate.

I only wish that one day my car sounds as nice as that :) Looking at the pics of the exhaust from under the car, was that a full 4" exhaust off the turbo, with no cat and just the rear mufflers? Oh and was that a tranny cooler under the car to the left of the gearbox as well?

100ron when custom tuned makes a difference.

As for your time there's only 1 way to find out; get out there, don't put pressure on yourself, relax and enjoy; you'll improve with practice.
