I just thought I would pop my head in here and let you guys know I have now brought a 2007 BF MKII Turbo in Flare.

It has 8205km on the clock. a ZF6 speed, full leather interior, premium sound, reversing sensors, climate control, Sat Nav, rolling on 18" factory alloys. The colour is Flare (like a dark orangey red), pictures don't do it justice and it is very rare on the road.

No mods as yet so I took her to Calder on Friday night to give her a run.

It was bog stock on factory 18" rims, paper filter, no mods what so ever.

13.636@167.54kph - 60ft=2.166

Put a Pod filter in, but it was exposed, didn't make much difference.

13.620@167.04 - 60ft=2.128

So I beat my heavily NA6 time of 13.75@101.95mph 60ft=1.889 with a totally stock turbo. I am a very happy man indeed.

Looking forward to doing a few mods now.

Yet another NA owner has seen the light.

Look I loved my NA, it had some raw power off the line that the Turbo lacks (as yet anyway).

But I did another LSD, so it was a single spinner. I had to think whether I wanted to keep throwing money at it.

I was thinking about supercharging her but you can only can so high with that, throwing a turbo motor in it is an expensive exercise as the whole drivetrain really needs to be replaced and the time it is off the road would not suit me, also at the end of the day it would still be a NA with a Turbo in it.

So, I got a T. with a CAI and tune I should see 12's , but then I will want 11's, then 10's at which point I will have to restrain myself. LOL

Thanks Ryan,

No tune at all, I have a flash box but I have to get it reset. I think I saw your car, I was looking for a pic of your car, I think I gave you a nod in the staging lanes if that was you. Do you have HPF stickers on your car? I will come and say hello if I see you again.

I am happy with the colour, looks great in the flesh, need some black rims for it and I will get my bobtail spoiler repainted and put that on.

I was having a look at your threads and someone said about stalling the ZF in second to get to 2200rpm, does anyone know what the full method is? Do you stall it in second and then shift down to first on launch?

Cheers,

Doug

My T Ran a 14.161 Stock as a rock the time goes to my mate Miller for doing that as I could only do a 14.700 in it.

I have done a bit of racing before though, practice makes perfect (but not necessarily in my case). lol

as far as I know that's all it takes. stall up in 2nd then drop back to first for the launch.
