Righto... are people keen for something that stays around civilisation like last Saturday's run or for something on quieter roads?

Also more thoughts on hilly roads?? If people are keen I was thinking of following the GE Hwy from somewhere central and going up there... I'll wait for Dean to come here and start stomping the yard, but I'm pretty sure he had a joint (invited only) commonwhore & XR6T hill cruise in mind :idunno:

But keep registering interest and throwing ideas up there people because it would be really good to get out there in force ... Match some of the nice big cruise photo's the eastern states have produced as well as other car clubs around Perth :spoton:

EDIT: D I missed what u just wrote, a normal cruise that finishes up at the pub in Mundaring sounds like a goer though :spoton:

Problem with staying in civilastion is that more people on cruises = people getting carried away = police attention. You think all those big cruises dont get hammered by the 5-0? I've been on the receiving end of about 30 traffic fines over the past 5 years and nothing ruins a cruise more then getting pinged for speeding AND some yellow love. Used to be some big cruises years ago but the last 2 massive ones I went to were the Ignition ones and we all ended up in Hillarys with huge numbers of police / news / chopper. Took some people hours to get out as the police searched every car that left. Sure its always a laugh to see people doing stupid stuff but if you want to avoid attention and enjoy your car its not worth it

But if you want to go for a hills type run, look up Jarrahdale / Araluen / Wugon Dam / Canning Dam / Mundaring Weir / Dandalup Dams (a very awesome drive if you pick the roads) etc in google maps and a bucketload of random roads shall be revealed.

the weir road was pretty chocked when we went for a cruise through there. its probably ok if we are just dawdling to the pub but, other than that we will get frustrated I rekon.

EDIT: D I missed what u just wrote, a normal cruise that finishes up at the pub in Mundaring sounds like a goer though :beerchug:

perfect!

The next cruise that's being organised IS going to be a hills run & IS going to include some of my mates with commodores to boost numbers. If people are worried about police attention &/or silly behaviour I think you just need to look at our past cruises this year to realise how all of us drive compared to normal everyday driving

If people don't want to come along then that's fine. I'm all for someone else organising a map & getting the numbers together but seeing as myself & Kael are doing this one it will be run as mentioned.

Depending on numbers & how settled I am in my new place I might have a bbq afterward & everyone can have a swim but that will be decided closer to the date :beerchug:

Well Dean, you know how much I love hills runs so I shall be in attendance but as Kieran said, unless you are going to Mundaring pub I'd avoid Mundaring Weir road. Lots of slow Sunday drivers that you cant overtake and old people giving Kieran funny looks :P
