The install by RAGE looks excellent..

How's the install going IB? Still happy?

ABout the only two things I could be picky about with your fit are the small 40L useable tank, and the placement/style of the gauge unit..

Overall, great install!!

Hey mate,

Really sorry about the delayed response...yeh it is going perfect, plenty of power, really good economy, I am saving $50-60 per equivolent tank of petrol. I am finding that I am using closer to 45-50L now so it gets me about 300km's on $20 worth of LPG (LPG is only about 60c near me then minus 4c discount it is very cheap!). Considering I was only getting 350km's on a $90-100 tank of petrol this is a HUGE saving

All the gauge placement is optional; you can speak to the fitter and mention where you want it to sit etc. not sure about asking for better or more accurate dials...You can do dedicated LPG I believe if you want a bigger tank but RAGE would have to verify that..

Cheers mate,

T

Anyone looking to get this done, go see Rod @ Black & White Autogas :B):

He's a mate of mine & does great installs. Tell him Dean sent you & he'll fit you straight in!

Looking into getting mine done but don't know how it'd go with 380rwkw? Apparently a few revised regulators are used to cope with 300 so don't know if any more is possible at this stage??

Yeah, I am having trouble trying to get gas injectors for my 335rwkw... 380 would be a massive problem....

I might even have to run twin injectors per cylinder...

Any more updates IB on the gas install?

Is it all still positive??

Yep she is running perfect. Going to get it retuned again soon when the cooler arrives with a better exhaust etc

Can't wait! But I will have to...probably the end of this year to start of next year...

I got told by RAGE Racing I could pay another $900 for another LPG converter and that was good for 700HP (current system only good for around 280rwkw I think)

They tuned up and put a W427 on this system no worries with the extra Converters

Give Tyson a call as he can give better advice,

Yeah its a completely different system to mine... Have a look at my thread on it... and the pics. I dont have a converter. The only thing that is holding me back is my petrol injectors... They cant find gas injectors big enough to match up to my siemens 60lb injectors...

Your system is very different. It runs its own ECU to control the gas, whereas mine uses the existing ford ECU and tricks it into thinking its running petrol... Doesn't run a second ECU...

Much neater under the bonnet (Not overly noticeable, except for the extra fuel rail and injectors)...

Will see what happens when I put the bosch 42lb injectors and the gas injectors. This should work and I should still get around 340 on gas (hopefully :-)

let me know how the 42lb go. I received my 60lb Siemens around about the same time I saw you and George having these probs, so if they can get something working with the 42lb I might sell them off and get some 42lb injectors instead. They can give more power than I want anyway so...
