Its still air cooled and the bike weighs a ton. If long rides through the hills are a priority its not the best buy. But for riding around town. Perfect. Brand New around $6,500 I believe and you;ll always be able to sell it to another learner once your done with it.

There are bikes that will do long days in the saddle better, but none of them would be LAMS approved. The 500 will do a long day ride easier than any 250 will and you will learn the basics of riding without relying on a heap of power to make you appear fast.im looking to get my bike license soon. I have a mate thinking of getting a Suzuki K8 GSXR 1000cc and he wants someone to ride with and looking at fule and parking in the city it makes sense. .I hope that this is not your mates first bike Neo. If it is, it will probably also be his last one way or another, as much as I hate to say it.Since when do riding in traffic, parking and a GSX-R 1000 make sense? Nothing about a GSX-R on the road makes sense. Its a registerable track day weapon. Nothing sensible about it! Fun but if you actually have a bit of riding experince. So he may be buying a R1 now. Nice bike to sit on and feels heaps lighter than my 06 CBR 1000 RR.ON bike, what do you guys rekon of the styling on the 08 CBR 100 RR, by all accounts an excellent bike to ride, but in any colour other than yellow they look stupid in my opinion.Scotty
