Hope im not making an idiot of myself...

Ive searched the forum, and found a post about how to get those plastic srews out, but the 2 screws I need to remove are the ones holding the grille in place. They seem like steel ones, but do they have some sort of clip underneath them that prevents them from being unscrewed?

I use a small flat screwdrive and just pry them up.

They will just pop out. I also bought a heap from Fraud as spares

you have to hold the outside of them, then unscrew the inside philips head.

I tried the flat head method and put the screw driver through my thumb.... they just spin and screw forever!

they are spinning forever because the thread on the outside bit is worn. Just use something thin to get in between the gap and lift it up as much as it can go, then use a screwdriver and turn it the proper way, while still lifting underneath it with the other object.

Ford call them "scrivets"....I call them one of the most stupid ideas Ford ever came up with :spoton:

They come loose, they rattle and, as youve found out, there a pain in the ass to get out sometimes.

Why they couldnt just stay with good old self tappers locking into a plastic spreader clip amazes me.
