I have done a little bit of googling and come across one or two aftermarket ones that seem more reasonable, but I don't know about their quality when compared toa Ford lid. They look good on in the pics posted on their websites but you cant really tell how well they are finished. The lids I have looked at on the net include one from Fibresports, one sold on ebay from a mob called HSP ( Hol Special Parts) and I have also just now seen another brand that goes by the name of Mack3, which has three different lids for the AU-BF ute.Just wondering if anyone has any aftermarket hardlid recommendations or knows of anyone who makes a good looking quality hardlid? Or any positive comments about the above mentioned?Cheers,Craig.

No pricing listed though. What did you pay for your lid? Was it already painted or just in primer?I've got a lazerback from tuff tonneaus.its a flat aluminium lid, in terms of fit, looks and quality its good.but I reckon it looks better on darker colors as its flat, and doesnt fold down over the exposed tubliner which doesnt worry me as my ute is black....I posted a couple of pics of it in another thread somewhere....I have had a look at the lazerback a while ago too. The fact that you an see the lip of the liner, as you have mentioned, is what turned me off them. I dont think that this would look too good on my bionic ute, although I can see how it wouldnt be such in issue in a darker colour.

Regarding humps or a smooth lid, I haven't seen all of them out there so dont know everything that is available. I am leaning toward a nice smooth top, but a hump could be good too. What would be most important to me though, is the quality of the item. I dont want to put something on my pride and joy that would look crap or be made to a crap standard.I will check out the flexiglass one, thanks for the tip! Cost $1450 it think, that's including fitting and the plugs to fill the holes from the tonneau hooks. Pretty happy with it. Colour is very close to the ute colour. The only thing wrong is they didn't paint the inside lip. It's white instead of green. U can't see it unless it's open. Mate's got a factory 1 and it's got a whacked out mounting system, it's flimsy as. Here's some pics.(sorry about photo quatity)Hope this helps Let me know if you want more pics. They were one of the ones I was looking at but wasn't sure of the quality. They are probably on the cheaper end of the scale price wise, so I was a bit sus about them. Thanks for letting us know what you think!
