Geez you really changed your attitude?

Good to see it in action Nick. I might be available 2morrow if you want to do some filming on that private road of yours.

you're not too bright, are you?

(mind you, looking back at my grammar, neither am I!)

So I am not to sure? but is this going to be bad for our turbos or engines?

Sorry if the questions already been asked..

when your sitting on this limiter, it drops spark to alternate cylinders without the PCM knowing it, so it keeps putting the fuel in and leaves the throttle body open. This is where the problem has been in the past getting this to work as the factory limiters in the PCM whilst editable, doesnt pull spark, it pulls fuel and closes the throttle.

So when the spark is dropped there is still a full fuel mixture going into the cylinder. This fuel may ignite in the exhaust manifold and help to spool the turbo. When this happens, there is a rise in temperate at the turbine which could become problematic if you sit on this limiter for long periods of time. I belive only a few seconds is nessesary to build boost and shouldnt be a problem. Also, im not getting any back firing so my exhaust and turbine should be better off compared with the full on anti lag systems that shoot flames out the back... we could do this if we wanted by pulling the timing back and then it would pop and bang and carry on like the supra at the start of this thread. We havnt really needed to do this though as we are getting enough boost already... All im getting is puff of black smoke when flatshifting, and also a bit of smoke when sitting on the launch limiter. This is just unburnt fuel.

So I think it should be fine so long as your sensible with it and dont sit on the limiter for long periods...

its a seperate thing... we tried with the edit alone, but like I said, we couldnt stop it from closing the throttle and turning injectors off... its pretty easy to install yourself if your handy with auto electrical work. Ive intalled mine so that if I want to remove it, there will be no holes or signs of it ever being there.

well done guys!!!!!!!!!!

I had a similar thing on my manual a year and a half ago..... worked basically the same way... keep your foot flat to the floor and change gears... it did not rev out past the revs set in via the edit, and changing was a actually fun in this manner. have you guys done something better then the wog did when he was doing it? or is the flat shift very similar to what he was doing? if it is better in what way?

the launch control is totally unchartered waters though and a big thumbs up on that one as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its times like these I wish the manual was still modified.

good luck at the track!!
