My question is what a safe figure would to be aiming for. I know I need to do a clutch before the dyno as I've read on other posts. What else could potentially fail or be the limiting factor in terms of the main running gear (Bottom end, T5 box, diff, etc). groper Member 611 Member For: 18y 16d Posted 19/05/08 11:55 AM Share Posted 19/05/08 11:55 AM valve springs will limit you to about 300rwkw, but it can be as low as 260rwkw or as high as 320rwkw.The T5 will explode not far beyond that also, they are referred to as 'the glass gearbox'bottom end will be fine provided tou get a good tune with no pinging...so, id aim for about 300rwkw, and be sympathetic to your gearbox when you drive it and you should be ok.
