Sign post said there were 10km of gravel road - so thought "well that does that then". I think I'd rather do a Mt Baw Baw run again - man that's exciting going up that mountain and it seems to go on and on and on and when you get to the top - no where else but to go down again Always on the look out for good routes (yeah I did say ROUTE ) So guys, yell out if you know any

Done the Reefton/Black Spurs many times, always wanted to try the Acheron Way.

If it is - we could organise a cruise that takes it in. I quite like the Black Spur as well, but nowadays, so many vehicles use it that more often than not you get stuck behind slower cars/trucks. But I suspect the Archeron Way will be a good clear run - if it is sealed.

Dont speed though as its now 80kph there.

Great sections but if you don't mind gettin your car dirty it's ok. You could do Warburton,(Cafe Mechannica for brekkie), Reefton Spur, Cambarville Junction rest, Lake mountain lap then on to Marysville for lunch. Then through the Black Spur to Healsville and for those that wanted to keep going do Chum Creek Rd to Toolangi and Kinglake, then home via St Andrews. If you wanted to bypass Reefton you could go Acheron way via Donna Buang but for the dirt section. Either way you'll probably go past a police blitz no matter where ou go. Healsville every weekend in the summer.Yeh it's policed pretty heavy during the summer. Nearly all over the blitz now though. It is 80kmh on Reefton with the radar setup in the same spot every weekend, on the 200m straight. Sometimes timing is setup between start and finish but maybe over it now. That's just 1 spot you can relax and take in the views.

Do a lap up Skyline which is an awesome climb, round the loop and back home via Alexandra, or run the Skyline full loop and back out through Eildon and back home the same way. The Flowerdale, Strath Creek run is great then on to Broadford. Short 3k climb but there's heaps of drifting on the way up.
Rudiger All round good guy! May not make it to the next cruise but at least it gives some of us western suburbs guys an alternative.Just a shame the weather has been so pissy lately. Really annoys me that this is supposed to be the hotter months of the year.HMMMM
