Well thinking of doing a Mt Baw Baw Run on Sunday 11 April? What are your thoughts on this? Last day of school holidays for Victoria I know - but the 28 day weather forecast reckons it will less chance of rain on that day.

Fantastic twisties up and down the mountain - and there's a great historical trestle bridge to visit on the way home.

Anyway, let me know :dontknow:

I probably have the kids that weekend so could be ok. What start and finish times are you thinking Gary as that's a long run.

Only issue is that it will be bloody packed on the way home with school holiday traffic.

Yeah was thinking the same thing. Sunday 18 April is a better date timing wise for me - but I think it is likely to rain - :buttrock: conditions for twisties.

Just have to see. Those interested in a Mt Baw Baw run - do you have a preference for a date?

Rudiger - I think it would be a 9am departure from Bunnings at Narre Warren (makes it easier to jump onto the freeway).

Anyone who has not been up to do the Baw Baw run I'd highly recommend it. IMO more than 10 cars would be too much as to feel the full effect of the twisties you need to have some space to breathe. If you get more than this I'd recommend doing it in stages once you reach the climb to the top. Divide the group up in half or in 3 depending how many and have staggered start times, then have everyone meet for lunch up top.

By far one of the most exhilarating fast and insane dips, corners, and undulating roads ive been on. When I went there were 3 of us and I felt another 3-4 would have been just a real nice balance. Great views from the trestle bridge too. My car will hopefully be sold by then so I wont be able to make it. Not really exciting doing those roads in a 4WD lol.

Yep, last time I did it was in Feb 2008 and we had 6 cars altogether - it was a good run :beerchug:

Here's a link to the thread about it.

Here's the vid (back then I had a temporary XT LPG and ummm had a hard time keepin up with everyone :roflmbo: )

Yeah - Sunday 18 April sounds better to me - just worried though about the rain. It's :nono: if it rains cos the roads will be too slippery.
