Have you guys settle on a criuse date and destination yet? If your still looking for suggestions theres always the Daylesford/Tentham/Kyneton/Gisborne sort of run. Just depends on what side of town you want to go on.

Could also go down to Mornington along Eastlink.

Just suggesting. I havent been on one before and am keen but don't know if you like tight and twisty or long and criusy.

Well if we do the Great Ocean Road - am planning on it to be almost identical to this one

Otways Cruise - Ford XR6 Turbo.com

We even had Dags on that one

Man that was a hot day in the literal sense - remember walking on the tar roads and the soles of my runners farrkin sticken to the road

I don't know what the road conditions are like, but will start checking with Vic Roads. Does the date of Sunday 31 January 2010 still sound okay to those interested?

In March when it's cooler and better for the turbo's, I was thinking of an 2 dayer with an over-night in Omeo.

Saturday: Melbourne - Falls Creek - Omeo (incredible twisties) and over-night in Omeo. Approx. 6 hrs.

Sunday: Omeo - Dinner Plain - Hotham Heights (incredible twisties once again) - Melbourne Approx. 6 hrs.

It's a long one again, but this time over-night in Omeo. All on sealed roads. Any thoughts about this?

And want to pick a time that is good for people and for the roads. Like, obvious time off periods are Easter and Labour Day weekend but farrrk want to avoid those dates if you want a cruise that's not sitting behind a bus or caravan up those mountains. So I am thinking weekend of Sat 20 - Sun 21 March 2010?

(NB: Labour Day 8 Mar and Easter on 2-5 April 2010)

:buttrock: on the Mt Hotham - Omeo - Falls Creek 2 dayer cruise so far. Does that mean people would prefer a shorter one? I've always liked the Lake Mountain one. Some of the best twisties ever so close in to Melbourne. Nothin beats the views of the Omeo cruise - but if people are short on time and costs - how about the Lake Mountain 1 day cruise in March instead on Sunday 21 March?

Yep I'd be down for an overnighter. Be a gret way to catch up and a reson to bring the GF (if she wants to stay the GF). After todays run, I think I love my car more. MMMMM. But keep me posted re the date and I'll be there.
