Thanks mate Anyway, modified the suggested route based on a PM from Gee about how skinny the Kinglake to St Andrews road is - and from memory of driving it several years ago it was pretty skinny. So here is the revised Pakenham Healesville Cruise 2010 route and wondering if any interest for Sunday 18 July? Start would be still 10:30am Pakenham and lunch at Healesville. About 177km for the route. Finish up at Pakenham about 3pm or peel off anytime to head home where convenient Edited 22/06/10 01:33 PM by EvilDaifu

This time in the sticks away from traffic lights and so forth. Just have to leave it a little after dusk to avoid the wild-life as much as possible. If there is interest in this route at night, I can start a thread. Just that the NSWs seemed to like hitting the bush at night - thought we might try the same here if there was enought interest

It's an enjoyable drive in the country side. I am planning on doing Saturday night 10 July now (owing to committment creep both home and work getting in the way ) Besides, looking at the 28 day weather forecast for that day - it looks better than remainder of July yeah I know same night as Adam's photo shoot but there's only 6 people going to that and no spectators (believe me the council would have our balls if there was a crowd milling around where Adam does his photo shoot ) Edited 03/07/10 11:57 PM by EvilDaifu

I know this forum has organised Tassie all State cruises in the wild past - but they were 2 week affairs I think (never been on one) and were pretty expensive. I was thinking 1 day over, 3 days driving and 1 day back. Nothing exotic - just real Tassie mind blowing scenery and awesome twisty roads that stretch for miles We have the Snowys all States cruise in November, so I am thinking maybe early March 2011 we do it. January/February is always packed with tourists. Early March offers us the chance to take a dip in their magnificent aquamarine lapped white quartz beaches as well. I'll check with TUFXR6T as he knows a few people who have actually participated in the Tassie Targa and he's got a map of the routes as well.So here's how the coming months are shaping up - plenty of opportunities to do more there - lotsa months when nothing planned Aug ???Sep 18 - Skidpan DayOct possible Wilsons Prom cruise by JmanNov 19-21 Snowys CruiseDec ???Jan ???Feb ???Mar possible Tassie Targa cruise Edited 11/07/10 11:20 AM by EvilDaifu
