Spoken like a true drag racer Brian!

Lowering the back also has the benefit of transferring weight to the back of the car under speed, meaning that in cornering the balance should be more even. Lowering the front only allows for more weight forward - front will understeer more.

For drag racers the softer the back end - the more the car can squat - and transfer weight on take off - and get better traction.

I like how my car handles with the ass down slightly, not so concerned with drag starts.

Wrong way around cobra mate, the lower end of the car has more static weight over its tires, giving more grip to that end of the car, hence lowered front end will tend to give more "oversteer" that is the car tends to steer more than you intend it to.

Lowering the rear springs only would tend to give more "understeer" and traction. more static weight located on the rear tires.

this assumes all spring rates and dampers are unchanged.

Not to mention you are changing static roll centre height slightly by lowering your car, and lowering your C.O.G

That's exactly what I thought... Lowering the centre of gravity improves handling immensely. That's first class in 'Suspension 101' isn't it? :nyaah:

No, not neccesarily. Its easy to lower a B Series too far, whereby roll centre is lowered too far. A good handling height is around 350mm to hub for a b series.

Yeah you can definately go too far. What springs give you the closest match to 350mm Rob?

stock height is 365-370mm from memory, so you are looking for a 1.5-2cm drop...not sure what this is in Kings

FALCON BF MK II XR/FPV SERIES: Front - KFFL-53SSLHD. Rear - KFRL-68SSL/310.

Just measured mine from hub centre to guard...

With the above springs in I get 355mm at the front and 350mm at the rear.
