Posted 19/05/08 03:38 AM Share Posted 19/05/08 03:38 AM Driftin is great fun mate, cause it doesn't put much load on the motor the batteries last ages! I found that actually racing with grippy tyres got real boring because the batteries would die after about 5 mins Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/45631-mini-drift/page/2/#findComment-678619 Share on other sites

We saw a few vids of some pro drivers using them and they look awesome sliding across massive arcs, but also being able to drift in small areas as well.I really want to get this thing sorted! I run Tamyia drift tyres, there a good cheap hobby option if you like to drift. I ran a tamiya super stock for a while (great torquey motor for drift) I now run a Novak SS5800 Brushless setup HOLY TORQUE BATMAN!! I also run a Nitro TC3 in drift guise everynow and then. The on/off torque of a two stroke makes it much harder but the smoke trails is cool I havent run my cars for ages (house building, getting married and work have been in the way....) But my new house has a dedicated section in the shed just for RC cars ( i have about 15 all up)Luke Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/45631-mini-drift/page/2/#findComment-678866 Share on other sites
