Paulie, would it be possible for you to support your comments with some sort of logical reasoning. I have done a lot of research and thus why I made the change. Now I'm am stating my findings through a lived experience. I have also offered some additional reasoning as to why my car has improved its performance. Now I'm happy to discuss why my findings may not align will your views, or opinions. But please don't make comments that attempt to belittle others veiws and outcomes, based on an ideology that you think you know better or more. Cheers

I'm not going to write a 300 word essay on everything like you have been doing. I am just saying that removing the blow of valve has the opposite affect you what you are describing. Don't get me wrong, I don't doubt that you feel improved throttle response and not lag on gear changes however, let me assure you that this is all in your head. Just like some people think their car is faster just because they suffer from wheel spin.

Just to make sure (and to prove Paulie very wrong) I have just spoken to Nizpro in relation to their no BOV policy. Brad, I think he said his name was, indicated that what I was experiencing in a manual XR6 Turbo was very much on par with expectations. They also said that they only ever put BOV's on any of their kits at the customers specific request. The reasoning behind the performance increase is based on "the increased pressure at the throttle body". He also indicated that when a stock XR5 has the BOV removed it is .3 of a second quicker over the quarter mile. So Paulie no offense, but I'm going to listen to the experts, no a percieved expert's opinion. So I suggest that you might want to actually do some research that has some validity (because I will be critiquing), and not make offensive statements that are not based on any truth. Cheers

Whatever works for you... Cheers indeed.

I was thinking "I'm sorry mate, I was wrong", would have been a more appropriate response. As this is not "whatever works for you", this is what actually works for an XR6T manual, end of story. Now Paulie this is not intended to be personal, this is just my response to someone basically saying that I'm full of crap, when I know differently, so no hard feelings. As on the whole, I enjoy your participation and comments. Cheers

Why so much hate on impellor? Clearly hes not just spinning this sh*t from no where. He's putting in the effort and researching all this sh*t in order to improve OUR cars.

I believe him when he says no bov is faster. It makes sence.

I've said it a few times that my car feels like it ran better with the bov blocked over vented. Yet to compare on a manual but I think my cheap kompact is starting to leak so will soon find out.

Nizpro aside

I ran quicker stock intake and BOV than I did no BOV catback and turboside

BOV or not at wot in an auto there is no difference, manual where the throttle closes is a different story

On my car you could see a puff of smoke come out the airbox when you backed off on the dyno with no BOV LOL..

After all this talk, I'm going to put my stock bov back on tonight, just to see if there's any difference since the tune since the Kompat one is adjustable, so it may not be functioning as well as it could (I could have it set up wrong since I don't really know much about setting them up)
