Running a dose pipe without removing the battery and making an airbox for the filter means that the intake temps are about as hot as the engine.

:retard:

Plus, if you block the BOV to make the dose/flutter bigger, it has been known to damage turbos. (Not necessarily our ones...)

So the good old dose pipe setup (without proper airbox mod) hinders performance and has a high pitched alarm to alert all nearby motorist that you're a show, not go, type of guy? :buttrock:

I'd give the flutter setup a go, as it seems like an easy tweak that can be reverted to stock quite easily, but I'm simple and don't know how to work out what's what in the TT engine bay. :spoton:

If it makes it feel slower, it's probably just a bit of heatsoak.

It wouldn't lose enough power so that a Jeep could kick your ass hahaha

A Territory Turbo with a dose pipe... That would be hilarious on a cruise

If someone had the patience to hook it up, I'd do it for sh*ts n' giggles. You volunteering RSPEC? :buttrock:

What goodies would be required? Just the pipe, pod filter and some clamps/hose? Couple hundred bucks for some laughs is well worth it.

All depends on how hard it is to block your BOV and the room for the pipe.

From what I've seen, that top mount cooler would make things real messy!

You need a flathead screw driver, a 10mil hex thingy, a pair of long nose plyers and a 1" rubber chair leg stopper thingy.

You need these things, plus a 90° metal pipe, a 3" silicone hose, a can of Coke and a smile.

And the answer is yes, IF it's not more complicated than a sedan... Riddle me that

Alrighty then. I'll hold you to that. :icon_ford:

I'll take some pics of the engine bay so you can see if you reckon it'll be easy, or a bitch.

In the meantime, I'll collect up the following checklist of goodies.

- 1" rubber chair leg stopper thingy (now sure which kind of these to go for)

- 90° 3" metal pipe,

- 2 x 100mm lengths of 3" silicone hose

- a can of Coke

- smile (got this one already)

- 2 x 3" hose clamps

- pod filter (not sure what's best, but I assume the smallest, so it'll fit in a tight spot)

- adapter for pod to 3" hose? <- just assuming I'll need one.

With that all said, when's the next cruise?

Don't buy everything yet. Just wait till I have a look at the engine bay.

The next cruise is when you organise it!
