Help If You Can, "cure Our Kids" Kids With Cancer Charity

Tonight we had our charity benefit night for "Cure our kids". The helmet auction finished at what I thought was a fairly cheap price of $3765.00. The highest bidder had bought tickets for the night and then proceeded to give us $5000 for the helmet. He then donated the helmet back to cure our kids so they could resell it. The next person paid $4000 for the helmet and then he ALSO donated it back to cure our kids. At this stage it looks like we will be at Oran Park for the V8's grand finale in december to again sell it if we can work something out with V8supercars.

Overall we managed to raise between $25000-$30000 (unsure until a final count is done of all receipts and so forth) plus we still have a few items to sell that didn't make reserve at auction.

Thanks to everyone who has helped, a BIG thank you to anyone who has donated to Cure our Kids. It means a very lot to my family to know that there are still people out there that care for others.

wow that was so sad, iv only just read this whole thread and having a 13month old myself there wasnt a dry eye in the house. great news on the profits made and its nice to read that this community really has a heart to lend in times of need. top effort to the winning bidders that donated the helmets back also. our deepest sympathy goes to everyone suffering and those suffering with them......
