It's designed not to let you blow the farkin gearbox and then chase warranty work.

I used to work at Thrifty years ago. I had the brake and gas pedals to the floor in neutral, then slammed it into drive with both hands in a BA XT and did the biggest farkin patch you can imagine, and then the gearbox blew up a week later.

Some guy from Taiwan who rented it a week before copped a the bill over that one! :bopp:

Before I brought my car I drove a BF with the auto and thought it was great...if I was driving in traffic every day I piss the manual off and get the auto coz I reakon the clutches in these things is a little heavy and a pain when you have to stop start.

Having said that the manual is tons more fun to drive, espicially through the twisites.

I'm always amazed at all the 'manual purists' that appear whenever this topic is bought up. All trying to justify a manual by saying it's for real driving, etc.

Take a look at the car's we're talking about here. They're big heavy cruisers, perfectly suited to auto.

If you were serious about the 'real driving experience', you'd get a manual MX5, or something that is actually light and chuckable with a decent manual shift feel.

Buy which one you enjoy driving more mate ,

that's the main thing ,who cares what anyone else says , fractions of seconds mean nothing in the real world, and makes no difference , whats the point in having " This amount of KW poo juice " and this " and "this" .

Look at all the Idiots in 4cyl's and LPG cars that will risk life and limb, just to get in front of you in a 60 zone

Not up to about the 320rwkw mark I think. At this point I think its the input shaft that can giveway??

375rwkw & counting & no issues as of yet. im gonna push my luck again soon so I'll be puttin mine through its paces. blokes like fsix on here were pushin high 300's & then had race tunes with enormous amounts of 1/4 mile runs under there belts with no issues. I dont think I could go back to a manual even with the twisty stuff I just chuck it in manual mode & ive got all the control I need & for cruisin hit the c/ctrl button and next thing your there. if you want fun launching load it up to just off 2 & let her rip. you'll get all the wheel spin you'll ever need.
