I would still choose the auto in the Turbo.

The launch control will end in tyre smoke, as these barges lack traction. The Manuals will dump boost inbetween gearchanges and this is where the Auto shines.

The auto is the best all round box for these cars.

Get the auto its the only long term option for smooooth running

wait till they become available and take both the auto and manual for a test drive. I'm stuck in the same dilema, I can only hope that one really outshies the other and make the choice easier.

Autos are usually a little quicker now, but manuals are funner to drive, esp in mountains etc. Also, doesn't the ZF6 need strength mods (like the old BA auto box) when we increase the power?

I just drove a ZF FG XR6T and stepping out of my T56 option 6 clutch equipped T it was like heaven. You'd have to have rocks in your head to buy a manual, even with launch control.

Whenever someone gets a chance could they see if they can free rev an auto (in neutral) past 3500? My mail is that the autos have "launch control" too, although launch control isn't strictly the correct term, its more of a gearbox safeguard that happens to help with nice launches.
