Hey guys went out to wsid last night for a looksie as compak attack is on this weekend...

Few XRs an typhoons, GTPs out, 2 to mention was a gun metal grey phoon look stock as was runnin high 11s and also a bubblegum blue phoon ran a 12.2 both running high mph.

What was a bit weird was a yellow F6 with a fmic and exhaust, couldnt get below a 14.1 that's all it would run, how is that possible it had plenty of runs but that is a second of a stock one on a cold night so that was a bit of a let down.

Does anyone know who owns QIKGTP??? it sounds tuff as an has a dirty big fmic in it but wasnt puttin the times or mph down only mid 13s sounds wicked but.

And the last one that was to mention was a supercharged BA XR8 in gunmetal grey which ran pretty good all night until it shat a box I think off the line cause it made it to half track an was pantecked back to the pits, would like to know how much power it had, cause it squated fair hard an he certainly drove it hard spun for first 2 gears most of the night.

Was a good night few quick evo 8s running deep into the low 12s love em, bloody cold weather, mates VL run a 10.8 124mph but got kicked out cause of sub 10.9 pass it was the last of the night anyway, only give away was the C an V sticker on back window lols.

becasue you need at least a half cage to run that quick

some people (ie DBOSS) have run a couple of 10's and got back in though...

The Ego F6 is Brian - shame he didn't crack the 10 this week!

I was pretty pissed off.

First run I did the best burnout I've ever done, then did a 2.3 sec 60' wheel spinning all of 1st and 2nd gear!!!

Other runs no traction in 2nd. Best time was 11.5 and 127mph, but all slow 60' times. Track traction was much better last week.

Last 2 runs I was down to 60km left in tank, and had fuel surge, so I'll run more fuel from now on.... I'll put that down to experience.

Last night was the start of the cooler weather; the cars were covered in dew.

Next week is state of origin, so I'll have a break for a few weeks. Anyone heading out next week should get quite a few runs.

I saw the orange ute, equipped with slicks, but didn't note the times. It looked like it meant business.

That "yellow F6" had stock IC, but supposedly had 309rwkw, but had very low mph and poor time, not better than you'd get from a stock F6. It was his first time out at the track, and I'd expect he'll improve.

Brian

LOL, I can appreciate your feelings Brian!

Maybe the extra fuel is giving you better traction off the line!

Was it the same tune as you had last time?

that orange ute was me doing my test runs on standard exhaust manifold with 10 psi.

I couldnt get the thing to launch and a 13.072 was my best et and 111mph my best mph but in a different pass.

hopefully I will be back next week with the highmount kit fitted, still only running 10 psi though to get a comparison.

after that I will up the boost ;)

Yes, same pump fuel daily driver tune that I ran the 11.01 the previous week.

White and grey sh*t heap looking thing, big auto, has a cage an *beep* in it, just ran a 10.8 but not inspected so it got kicked off, the first run he jumped on the brakes hard an ran a 11.3 at end of the track, CV told him its good for quicker but was braking traction half track still off the line so its fair animal.

That orange ute after looking at it in the pits looked the goods but yeh just seemed like it sounded like it was moving but the times werent there, how come you were running slicks front and back?

And brian mate the phoon is shweeet :P so good, was a awesome burnout on your first run very nice. And yeh I dunno that typhoon seemed slow the yellow one that is. but that's just my thoughts But last night was cold I assume there was a bit of due on the track, do you know what happend to that green gemi that kissed the wall??

Anyone know QIK GTP??? or the Grey XR8 that blew somthin to peices???

I wish we didnt have to park in the bush to begin with for spectating lols I was there early enough I should have run the car :P

Side note that VL wagon hauled aswell
