I don't want to go crazy with the power, probably just 270-280 so that I can have a firm win over some of the newer V8's at stock Heres all I think I'll need to get those figures.Bosh 968 InjectorsFlash Tuner (Custom Tune)A cheap I/C (probably a $300 Monza/Wog one) to keep temps down a bit. From what I've read on the forums so far that's all I think I'll need. My understanding is that Valve springs aren't need till you start pushing higher than 270rwkw, same with Cat am I right?Just looking for advice on anything else that I will/won't need, specs in my sig.Much appreciated, Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/45541-looking-at-270-280rwkw/ Share on other sites

The monza cooler should be ok, but maybe look at saving a bit more for a really good quality one - Plazmaman, Process West, Rapid etc Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/45541-looking-at-270-280rwkw/#findComment-676276 Share on other sites

The standard springs may hold the boost for a little while, but I would say they will get soft after a few months. The upgraded valve springs make a difference on stock cars, so they are a worthwhile upgrade Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/45541-looking-at-270-280rwkw/#findComment-676281 Share on other sites

Just free's up a real bad restriction in the factory pipework. Can buy them new for around $125 from RAPID, Process West or Plazmaman (All site sponsors). This will benefit with the wog cooler & for very little cost will make the cooling system more efficient.Valve Springs and Cat are probably not an absolute must if working to a stringent budget but would be very worthwhile for reliability & less pressure on standard internals.
